Norbert's Story

Norbert Owuor is a 21 year old Kenyan born and raised in the slum of Mathare, the second largest slum and informal settlement in Kenya. He is the first born in a family of five children, which brought upon him responsibilities and difficult life challenges during his childhood.

When he was ten years old his mother passed away leaving him, his father and two younger siblings. The sudden death of Norbert's mother strongly affected his father and brought him to a state of confusion. This meant Norbert had to be strong for the sake of his siblings and the now so weak father, which caused him to step up and play the role of a parent. With the help from the community and someone far away that believed in him and sponsored his education, Norbert was able to pick up the pieces and bring his family together again.

This was not the end of it, the challenges that came with being in the slum environment were very real and in need of urgent solutions.  Problems such as  orphans with no place to call home or someone to call guardian, child labor and abuse and drug and substance abuse all surrounded him. Little did he know that God had a plan for his difficult life in the slum. It was in preparation for this present day that he, too, would understand the plight of dwelling in the slum and do something about it.

It was during a time of  self-searching that he met four other friends who shared a common ambition, and aim to touch and get people Revived By Love. It is now clear to him that his life calling is to mentor and give confidence to the slum children so that they have a better tomorrow despite all he or she might face.

Samuel's Story

Samuel Andayi is a twenty one year old man who was born and raised in a well known slum, Mathare. He is the first born son in his family of five; though his parents are a bit old. His mother had a problem of giving birth. She had lost four children before Samuel was finally born. His family and friends lack no reason to thank God for His mercy.

His education life was miraculous through his mothers effort in her small business and through the support of Compassion International. His father got injured in 1992 after falling from the third floor of a building. Even now he can't perform heavy tasks. So all the support came from his mother.
Through Compassion, he grew spiritually and intellectually. He is now a responsible young man with a passion to give back to the community. He believes that indeed it's not too late; that great dreams and missions can be revived if we show love to one another and we really care.

You can join Samuel and friends in their mission of promoting hope and renewing smiles in the society. For more information get us here at:

Taylor's Story

Taylor Harbert is 19 years old, born and raised in Greeley, Colorado, USA. She has one younger brother and two very supportive parents. Her father is a claims adjustor and her mom works as a dental assistant. At the very young age of 9 years old, Taylor was blessed to go on a mission trip to Juarez, Mexico with her family. This is where her passion for ministry and serving began. At an even earlier age she had always talked about wanting to go to Africa and how she wanted a brother or a sister from there. This burning desire and love for Africa continued to grow.

Taylor spent her first year of college studying music and nursing. However, as the year continued, God revealed HIS plan for her life and countless opportunities unfolded leading up to her first trip to Kenya. Little did she know she would fall in love with the country, culture, and the people. God continued placing a calling in her heart and told her that he had even bigger plans. One day she went into a coffee shop with three friends in Nairobi. She assumed it would be a quick stop, but it actually turned into a four hour meeting. The result: Revived By Love Ministries. God had brought four friends together from all over the world at that time to reveal his purpose for their lives.

God has placed in Taylor's heart love for children, serving, and a desire to share his unconditional love which will be spread through Revived By Love Ministries. She longs to use these desires to continually discover "how high and wide and long and deep is the love of Christ" (Ephesians 3:18) and instill the power of Christ's Love worldwide.

Hannah's Story

Hannah Klady grew up in a middle class family in Colorado, USA. She is the second born out three children. Her mother is a stay at home mom and wife and her dad works as a construction worker. She has lived a sheltered and comfortable life. Since she was a little girl, she wanted to move to Africa to do mission work. It wasn't until after she graduated high school that she got a clear direction as to what she should be doing and which African country she would move to, Kenya.

After graduating with her associates degree in medical assisting, she moved out to Kenya where she presently lives and volunteers in a medical clinic. Being here has been a dream, but she still isn't fulfilled or satisfied with that being the end of the story. Ministry is her life calling, and with Kenn Eddy Krezi and a few other close friends, God clearly started opening doors as to what ministry they should be doing. Revived By Love.

Hannah has a burden for young woman, single moms and their children, and with Hugs From Hannah (One of the five projects within Revived By Love), she hopes to be used by God to help change the lives of many woman by simply showing them they are loved, cherished, beautiful and of great worth. She wants people to know the power of the Love of Christ. His love changes everything.

His Joy...

Our God truly amazes me. Think about it. God created the whole universe in 6 days. He designed all of nature at its best, the One who created sunrises and sunsets. This God fashioned the ocean and all its uniquely different creatures. He created the mountains in all their glory and splendor. He shaped all of humanity, giving each person their own exclusive finger print.

That same God talks to, desires and loves us.

Us, as broken as we may be, somehow touch the very heart of God. Yesterday while sitting in church I had a sweet encounter with Jesus I will never forget. A deliverance secession broke out. People who were sick were healed. People bound in chains were set free. People possessed with demons were released. And in the middle of observing this commotion, I heard God speak four simple words to my heart.

 "This is my joy."

The Father heart of God has never been revealed to me in such a way. The God I described above, finds JOY in setting His people free. He delights in it. He smiles. He loves doing it!

Yes salvation is a place in Heaven, and praise God for that... but He desires to do SO much more in our lives. Not only to Redeem His children, but also to Heal, Deliver and Restore. He wants to Revive us. With Love, God Revives.

It's a marvelous exchange that takes place. Beauty for ashes. Joy for mourning. Praise for heaviness. All for His glory. His Joy. Let Him finish the work He has started in you.

"Put yourself in the LORD's hands. Let the LORD save you! Let God rescue you since He is pleased with you!" Psalm 22:8

Kenn's Story

Kenn Eddy Krezi  who was born in one of the largest slums of Nairobi, Kenya named Mathare and is currently twenty one years old. Being the last born in a family of ten, getting school fees, shelter, food and other basic needs were a continual struggle for him. His family's one-room house served as their kitchen, living room, bedroom, shower room and business place for his parents. His mom was an illegal brewer in the tragic slum of Mathare. Surrounded by poverty, drugs, thugs and violence, he grew up blaming God for allowing him to go through all the hardships; especially when he got a stray bullet in his abdomen at the young age of 16, and when his home went ablaze 2 months before his final high school examination-being left with no books or school attire.

From grade one to eight he walked to school on foot for one hours time each way. In the entirety of his school years, only once was he able to afford going on an educational trip. This is just but a few of the hardships this young man faced growing up.Currently he is a Kenyan gospel, hip hop, crank and rap  as well as a performing and music writing artiste. It has been five years since he stared tinkering with music while in his second year of high school in Nairobi. It was not until he cleared high school that he paid full attention to his music.  Before rapping, he used to lead praise and worship at Saturday club where we had been sponsored partially for academics through Compassion International. It is through growing in compassion that his heart for the community came along and he wants to establish hope in the hearts and change the lives of people all over the slums of the world through the love of Jesus Christ.

Therefore he started the non profit organization Revived By Love Ministries together with his friends to help change the state of the slums in the world having been brought up from one by showing them the love of Jesus.

As an artiste,he gives 50% of the profit sold in all his merchandise through his cloth-line named Krezi Ware.He also gives 100% of the outcome of the sales of his music online.Currently he is working as a missionary with Kkrew;which is a gospel entertainment ministry with a vision to see one million souls come to Christ by the year 2020 and fifty thousand every year.

Currently his impact in the community is not really effective because the ministry lacks enough funds and partners to join in this cause. Therefore he is pleading to you all to help link with corporates, partner and volunteer in this ministry as we help see a better community than we found.
Currently we have an office in Kenya and another one in Colorado, USA.

The Beginning...

"The truth is that the 143 million orphaned children and the 11 million who starve to death or die from preventable diseases and the 8.5 million who work as child slaves, prostitutes, or under other horrific conditions and the 2.3 million who live with HIV, add up to 164.8 million needy children. And though at first glance that looks like a big number, 2.1 billion proclaim to be Christians on this earth.......The truth is...that if only 8% of the Christians would care for one more child, there would be NO MORE statistics left."
Revived By Love ministries is based on five different projects that are aimed to better the slum communities throughout the world
firsthand experience on the challenges involved there. Having been raised by support from someone whom he has never met, he considers it his responsibility to mentor and support the current slum community through the same challenges. The ministries main objective is to INITIATE, FACILITATE & MANAGE programs to support in basic education and self help projects to the people. We also empower them to be self reliant people by TRAINING, MENTORING & PROVIDING PLATFORM to them and converting their skills into income generating activities through arts and use them in promotion of the gospel of Jesus. The organization is currently based in Nairobi, Kenya impacting lives in Mathare slums and with plans to extend its influence to other slums of the world. Mathare, just like any other slum is a hopeless place to live in. It is highly overpopulated and has high rates of drug abuse and crime. Families averaging of five people live in a ten foot squared single room. This room serves as a kitchen, bedroom, dining room and even business premises for a family; therefore, there's no ample space for studying. Due to the level of poverty in the slums, school going children struggle with studies because they are in and out of school, since they lack school fees and educational materials. Conditions of the slums promote young girls to engage in prostitution and early marriages resulting in single parenthood and high spread of sexually transmitted diseases . Young men also end up in crime as a means to support their families when their gifts and talents fail to work out for them. Revived By Love Ministries strives to bring hope to the slums of the world.
